Royal Albert Hall, Elgar Room, SW7 2AP , [Venue Details]Jamie Zweimueller was delighted to be offered a place at the Royal College of Music Junior Department in 2021 to study with Robin Thompson-Clarke at the Royal College of Music Junior Department, where he recently performed as a finalist in the Gordon Turner Competition.
A keen chamber musician as well as a soloist, Jamie has played in a wide variety of ensembles at the Junior Department and at King’s College School, where he is a music scholar and was selected to perform Shostakovich's Cello Concerto No. 1 in their 2025-26 concert series.
Since joining the Royal College of Music Junior Department in 2022 under Ani Schnarch, Rachel Cheung has been a finalist in the Peter Morrison Concerto Competition (2024), Gordon Turner Competition and Chamber Music Competition (2025), and was also awarded the first prize in the 2026 RCMJD Gordon Turner Competition.
Moreover, she has also led the Chamber Orchestra in the Autumn Term. Rachel attended the New Virtuosi Mastercourse for multiple years and the Keshet Eilon Mastercourse in 2025, where she has had the honour to play in the masterclasses of pedagogues such as Felix Andrievsky and Ilya Kaler. She plans to continue her musical studies at the Royal College of Music on a full scholarship.
